Bill 60 is a reflection of the cruel politics of this government. Tenants in Ontario deserve better.
November 24, 2025 at 11:51 PM
Today Doug Ford and his government passed Bill 60: a vindictive attack that puts renters at greater risk and deepens Ontario’s housing crisis.

They also voted against my motion to strengthen tenant protections and bring back real rent control.

Wearing #RedForEd today with ONDP colleagues as we prepare for the final debate and vote on Bill 33.

There's still time for you to contact your MPP and ask them to oppose this attack on education. Send an email here: ontariondp.ca/stop-the-att...

This is urgent and I need your help.

Doug Ford is rushing Bill 33 and Bill 60 through — they're just one vote away from becoming law.

Bill 33 silences parents and cuts student services. Bill 60 makes it easier for landlords to evict tenants and raise rents, and opens the door to privatizing water.

A big crew out today in Little Italy and Chinatown talking to neighbours about #Bill60 and Doug Ford's attack on tenant rights.

Honoured to join community members at the Westboro Cenotaph for their Remembrance Day ceremony today.

Lest we forget.

This is my neighborhood & it is home to a great diversity of people

The consumption site was chosen based on evidence - the 2nd highest rate of overdoses in the city

The closure of the site has caused chaos and destruction for residents-including those who live with addictions - and businesses

Proud to join renters and activists as we fight back against Ford's attack on tenant rights.

Bill 60 would:

🚨 Make it easier for tenants to be evicted
🚨 Make it harder to fight back against bad landlords
🚨 Limit appeals against evictions

Bill 60 guts tenant protections and opens the door to ending rent control.

We’ll fight alongside renters, housing advocates, and everyone who believes a home should be a human right—not a playground for profit.

In 2018 Doug Ford promised he wouldn't touch rent control.

He lied.

Now he has the audacity to blame renters for his failure to build housing and make life affordable for the people of Ontario.

Now more than ever, we need rent control.

When will the Premier stop his vindictive attack on the tenants of this Province, and start showing some compassion to the people he was elected to represent?

You won't find the answer to the homelessness crisis in more prison beds or $10,000 fines.

The answer is housing. #onpoli

Above Guideline Rent Increases (AGIs) are being consistently exploited by corporate landlords to raise rents for tenants in rent-controlled units.

It's time we ban them.

#BREAKING: 800,000 Ontarians are out of work while Labour Minister Piccini partied in Paris with a lobbyist whose company got millions from his ministry — money he admitted to hand-picking.

As the legislature returns today, I’ve asked the Integrity Commissioner to investigate.
