It's the main reason I relocated to Utrecht. After years of safe streets advocacy I wanted to live in a place without forced car dependency.

tbh I have similar feelings about Earthquake Ready Burnside Bridge remodel in PDX. Make it an earthquake-hardened bridge, but for walk, bike, emergency vehicles only, not a redundant bridge for cars. Save a billion dollars.

Time to start building for our future, not supporting our car-soaked past.

Yes! I think the swingset frames are brilliant as bike workstations!

They give each workstation (16 of them now in Utrecht) a perfect amount of space to move in, and they were fast and cheap to install.
