Was The Dish released in the US in 2000? If so, it is a charming movie starring Sam Neill about Australia's involvement in televising the moon landing.

There is an Australian movie from 1996 called Cosi. It's been a few years since I last saw it, so I'm not sure how it holds up. It's got a great cast - Toni Collette, Ben Mendelsohn, Jacki Weaver, Barry Otto, Rachel Griffiths.

Please add Crackerjack to your watch list. It's a great Australian comedy about lawn bowls, released in 2002.

One that might not be on your radar is Dating the Enemy, a 90s Australian movie starring Guy Pearce and Claudia Karvan. It's been years since I saw it so I'm not sure how it holds up.
