Had the best evening on Sunday at Lancaster Litfest @litfest.bsky.social introducing wonderful authors @rainewilson.bsky.social & @whyiwrite.bsky.social. But the best bit was getting my copy of We Are All Ghosts in the Forest stamped with Orlando the ghost cat!

Thrilling reading from Camille Ralphs of the Malkin poems from After You Were, I Am at @litfest.bsky.social today - just yards from the site of the Pendle Witch Trials at Lancaster Castle. Can’t wait to dig in to the rest of her uncompromising, clever, word-hoard of a collection.

I am in Berlin for a conference, and the highlight of my day was buying this Pistachio Roll, which cost almost 5 euros but was possibly the most delicious thing I have ever eaten, and the shop assistant complimented my hair in German (which I am learning) and I understood it.

Been so busy the last couple of weeks I haven’t had time to post about this exciting new arrival: love the way the cover makes it look like an original 1970s textbook, Scarfolk style. Must have been an epic feat of editing - 40 contributors. Congrats @robertedgar.bsky.social and Wayne Johnson!
