Oh no, poor Mark!
What a shame.

He’s absolutely right.
Feelings are running high this week in Buttercup Close.
Mrs Simpkiss from number 5 was very late again removing her recycling bin from the pavement after collection. There will be blood!

“Catherine. Why is my walk late?
Clock change? Nonsense.
WHY IS MY WALK LATE?”

When I feel depressed by the news in my phone, I turn to my local dog groomer’s Facebook page. This week it’s Halloween doggys showing off their new haircuts.

No, I didn’t think you thought it was wrong. I just wanted to reinforce that there was no other choice.
My great-nephew was one of the reception year cohort that had to stay at home, to his great disappointment.
The photo shows him (in the navy jumper) eagerly queuing on his first day back.

I currently have this little house guest while her humans are away.
I too will miss her when she returns home. 🐾

Just got these security alerts on my mobile, accompanied by loud beeping.
Eek.

Badenoch clearly swerved the dreadful fate of studying English.

Today’s uninvited guest, a beautiful 3 inch long mantis.
Gently removed and released into a pomegranate tree. It was miffed.

A lovely big donation at our Foodbank today. The harvest festival offerings from a local secondary school.
It’s great that these kids are learning about supporting their community.

I’m irresistibly reminded of Nosferatu whenever I see Miller. Shudder.

A donation today of new laid eggs, straight from the hens, at the Foodbank where I volunteer. Fascinating colours, some pale blue, one green.
But to be honest, I didn’t have “Cleaning chicken shit off eggs” on my bingo card for today. Life is one surprise after another.

The elderly uncle of one of the staff at the Foodbank where I volunteer on Thursday mornings came in with this masterpiece today.
He regularly bakes cakes for us, but this was next level. Chocolate sponge with fudge icing and fresh raspberries.

I’ve been binge watching one of my favourite TV series this weekend. But I’m miffed as always that there’s no series 3.
A major theme is the mystery of the heroine’s lost mother, lots of hints and clues, but not resolved by the end of series 2.
So frustrating!

A peaceful moment in the garden earlier.
Bumblebee landed on my arm, had a little rest, then glided away again to do its pollinating.

Also hateful.

Well this just screams “I’m a serious politician and I deserve your respect”.
Good grief.
