So it’s his hurler painting I enjoy since I was a child. It was rare to see something so Irish in the style he used. But perhaps it was staged however it was rural and relatable for someone young

This is my opinion only with zero research. Started learning Italian a few years ago and the h is mostly silent. I decided this is what happened with herbs and influence of Italians on the language when they arrived stateside.
