Wait, what? How is using a font that comes preinstalled on every Windows system since Vista "wasteful?" They don't want to use it because it might be more legible for people with disabilities and thus it's DEIA? Fuck me, these guys are actually completely insane, aren't they?

I went to get a haircut the other day. Walked in and told the hairdresser what I want done. They cut my hair following my instructions, so according to the genAI prompter logic, not only did I cut my own hair, I'm also a hairdresser now :)

It's like commissioning artwork, giving the artist some notes on the design, and then saying you made it. If I go to a restaurant, order a burger and tell them to hold the pickles, did I make the dish? Am I a chef now?!

When I heard FIFA had created their own peace prize to award to the Tangerine Turd, this clip alongside Hogan burying the WWF belt in '93 with that whole "trinket" thing started playing in my head ;)

They're really hell-bent on putting the Tories back in power, aren't they? It's almost as if Labour realised that they're not cut out for this whole majority party thing and are doing their damnedest to make sure the mistake of voting them into power will be rectified ASAP.

Explaining how level design benefits a game's commercial success is simple: "It's engaging and fun." What kind of garbage would someone thinking that leveraging "retention mechanics" in level design is important make? Progress-gating bits to force grinding and to sell XP boosters, etc.?

I had to upgrade from my 2017 phone, because my banking app informed me that it'll stop working soon, because the Android version on the phone is too old... So now I'm stuck with this huge slab of a phone that barely fits in my pocket, because no one apparently makes sensibly-sized phones anymore.

The thing about ol' Jimmy Beast here is that whenever I see a post of his somewhere, my first thought is "Who's paying him to say that?" He's basically productised his entire public-facing persona to the point, where I'm not even sure there's much of a real human left behind it all anymore.
