Raising awareness of the bad thing is important, but what I really hope to see is more people sharing what support is available so people in distress right now still know where to contact.

It's important that this message gets out. Cancelling funding for the 988 part is horrible.
But I am seeing far too many people posting that now there is no help available. For someone in crisis that is very harmful as well.

Trevor Project is available directly, so is Trans Lifeline.

The point is you're giving out incorrect numbers.

This means people will see or repost this. People rarely see corrections below a post, they just see the incorrect info and repost that again...

Misinfo doesn't help anyone. Delete and repost correct info instead.

988 option 3 redirected to Trevor Project but they have their own helpline which goes directly to them already.
The risk is this will reduce their funding making them more reliant on donations.

Unfortunately we knew this was coming, it's important to remind people that The Trevor Project is still available directly, and could probably really do with some support right now to make up for the funding cut.

Now would be a really good time to help the charities by donating or fundraising if you can to make sure they can still provide support.
