just to note it's totally not necessary at all to have body dysmorphia or phantom sensations to be a therian! it's something common in therian circles but it's not a requirement at all, for some of us it's just not that serious

i think a lot more furries are therian than they think ;)

but both communities need to be more open and fluid about it imho, and there's so much misinformation about therian necessarily being a spiritual thing (it doesn't have to be, it's not for me) or HAVING to involve phantom sensations etc

if you're like "I'm a furry but my fursona animal IS literally me" consider you might be a therian!

furries don't feel like their fursona is literally them, it's a character that represents them. therian (or otherkin or other nonhumanity) identity means that creature IS you in some way.

my fursona is a catgirl and I love her but she's not me. my theriotype is owlbear and that's literally me.
