My parents grew up on farms during the Depression. Our ‘50s home (two family) wasn’t bad compared to that. What was simple about the ‘60s was that I was a kid and didn’t have to worry about stuff.

But those benefits have been going to “those” people. For so long in our history, many white people would rather lose benefits than have programs that help Black people. Now we have immigrants added to the list.
