What I'm wondering now is...Carol used to do heroin? More evidence of a darker past. She seemed very confident with that needle and also, the pharmacist remarked it had been years since she's "injected". Very curious to learn more about this period of her life...

Great discussion! Your convo about Carol wanting to keep her Helen memories to herself reminded me of another Vince story, the John Doe ep from XF. Both explore what makes us who we are as individuals. I love that episode. Perhaps an early kernel of an idea that evolved into this series?!

Oh and for all the Twin Peaks fans, this is a MUST read. I always knew the series perfectly captured the feel of the Pacific Northwest, but it's even more accurate than I realized in portraying its history of violent AND corporate/industrial crime. @markfrost.bsky.social have you read this yet?!
