sarahbcoachingThe holidays can be such an activating time for so many of us, and if you find yourself feeling different around family than you do in your regular life, this makes so much sense. ⬇️Your nervous system responds to your environment, and for many of us, family gatherings can bring up old patterns and dynamics that trigger dysregulation. Here are three signs your system might be in protection mode during the holidays:✨ You feel small or invisible in family settings. Maybe you notice yourself going quiet, not speaking up, or feeling like you disappear into the background. This is often a freeze or fawn response –- your system learned that staying small or accommodating was the safest way to navigate challenging dynamics.✨ You over-explain or rush to fix tension. The moment there's any conflict or awkwardness, you find yourself talking rapidly, trying to smooth things over, or taking responsibility for everyone's comfort. This response is your system trying to create safety by managing everyone else's emotions or getting out of the discomfort as quickly as possible.✨ You get easily irritated or defensive. Small things that wouldn't normally bother you suddenly feel huge. You snap at people, feel your body tense up, or find yourself ready to argue. This response is your system protecting you from feeling hurt, dismissed, or controlled.None of these responses are character flaws, my friend. They're your brilliant nervous system doing what it learned to do to keep you safe in these specific relationships and environments. 💛Which of these resonates most with your experience during the holidays? I'd love to hear what shows up for you in the comments. With kindness and belief in your healing,Sarah

Why? Finding their voice is the hardest part for a lot of writers, and I don't think rewriting for them helps them do that.

There's a rec center like half an hour from us that has one, I couldn't believe it. Someday I'll get to actually partake in it 😂

Yoga might be helping regulate your nervous system which decreases anxiety which makes you pee less? (Peeing constantly is one of the ways I know that I'm anxious, since I'm so used to working through stress I don't always notice otherwise)

They're a traditional pastry for the Mid-Autumn Festival in various Asian cultures! The most common fillings are red bean or lotus seed paste, sometimes with a salted egg yolk.
