I wrote about the gruesome history of lynching.

The President has insinuated that it should happen to his political rivals.

The imagery of white bodies hanging from trees would definitely be some “strange fruit.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene hasn’t gone “woke;” she’s just sleepwalking.

I wrote about why the Georgia Congresswoman’s rebrand shouldn’t be believed. And how the ones who are falling for it were never one of her targets/have nothing to lose if she reneges.

ICYMI from Thurs:

Pat McAfee & Stephen A. Smith Prove That You Don’t Have To Stick To Sports At ESPN If You Favor The Right.

I wrote about how the network’s two biggest personalities are getting away with so much of what the company’s former Black talent could never do.

ICYMI from Friday:

The Washington Commanders & the NFL continue to be the president’s gimmick, and it’s starting to feel like they enjoy it.

I wrote about how getting an NFL stadium named in his honor won’t be enough to save Trump’s irredeemable legacy.

Bryce Underwood has his best AND worst game at the same time.

RB2 goes down.

FIVE turnovers.

Road game in a weird venue.

Northwestern is ALWAYS scrappy.

Mistake after Mistake.

Still — somehow — won.

Survive & Advance.

I reached out to Jemele Hill, Howard Bryant & Jim Trotter to ask their thoughts on the current environment at ESPN/the industry and if they would have enjoyed the freedoms that Pat McAfee & Stephen A. Smith are experiencing.

Give it a read.

I also asked Jemele Hill, Howard Bryant & Jim Trotter what would have happened if they tried similar moves at their old jobs.

ICYMI from this week - Part 2

“The first (food stamp program) recipient was Mabel McFiggin in 1939. The first retailer to redeem the stamps was Joseph Mutolo, and the first retailer caught violating the program was Nick Salzano in 1939.

Trump’s hints about seeking a third term aren’t crazy. Folks not believing him, however, is.

For my latest with The @contrariannews.org, I wrote about how people still aren’t taking him serious. Like when he beat almost 20 people to win the 2016 nomination.

Though the investigation was never published — last week’s events seemed inevitable.
