I live in Portland, Oregon, I like walking in nature, listening to music or audiobooks, playing cards, and eating good food, and I make contracts for a living.
Absolute Superman is a bit less gripping than the Absolute Batman and Absolute Wonder Woman. It changes up Superman's origin, but gives us a Superman that still feels very similar to other variants of the character that have come before.

Absolute Wonder Woman: The Last Amazon is very good. In comparison to Absolute Batman: The Zoo, I don't think it covered quite as much ground in regard to setting its stage, but (speaking more generally) I enjoyed its panel layout and story a whole heck of a lot!

Absolute Batman: The Zoo is absolutely fantastic and very well drawn and colored. There were parts that made me laugh and parts that made me go “what?!” and that makes it a win in my book.

A lot of good movies getting slept on in theaters right now it feels like. Got to watch Mickey 17, Black Bag, and the IMAX re-release of Princess Mononoke over the last week or so, and they're all pretty good. Mostly empty theater each time though. No more than maybe 14 people at the most

It will be interesting to see how Vice President Vance's professed Catholicism and his belief in and loyalty to it meshes with Pope Francis' (and by extension the Catholic Church's) views on immigration and human dignity.

Boom! Fiscal policy solved haha. I asked ChatGPT how to solve the federal deficit and I've linked to its answer. No idea about the quality of its ideas (there are way too many things in which I am not an expert), but hey, everything's gotta start somewhere.

Cool story about lessons learned from a sustainable test house that the National Institute of Standards and Technology built. I really enjoyed reading about what they'd change if they did it again. Namely, more solar panels and less insulation. www.nist.gov/feature-stor...

Been going through a tough time since Halloween. I can't wait to just do absolutely nothing this upcoming three day weekend. On a distinct, but somewhat related note, why are people so hard to get to pay their share of a utility bill? Y'all used this gas, now help pay for it!

I listened to Imaginal Disk by Magdalena Bay when it first came out and thought it was okay, but I listened to it again the day before last and have just been listening to it nonstop since. It's a really really good bunch of songs.
