The Black Forest gateau went down a treat. I didn’t have any as I left the BBQ too early. I’m told it was very rich but delicious. I’ll be making it again altho it was a bit time consuming so not for everyday!

It’s my brother’s birthday today, the first since our sister died. It’s why I’m visiting now, to try to give him a nice day. Presents are wrapped and ready! Birthday meal of ceviche, beef satay and hazelnut dacquoise has been requested.

My favourite crisps are the Spanish brand Torres although I’m not sure if you get many wish crisps. I’ll be investigating!

I’ve ordered these cos I love trainers but I do like a heel! I’m hoping they are as insanely comfy as they say, and not just insanely priced. 😆 Waited til I had my bonus.

We are staying very locally (7 miles from home!) at the gorgeous Royal Oak in Bishopstone. It’s really relaxing and we love it. And we will be back home about 15 minutes after we check out. Perfect.
