I’d forgotten that our local paper, & possibly the Atlanta Journal & Constitution, Charlotte Observer, etc. printed menorahs in their papers. Our family cut out and displayed those paper menorahs in our holiday windows for years. It was a national moment for many of us, I think.

Years ago, the details escape me, but a Jewish family was being harassed, accosted, etc. in their neighborhood. The community got together and placed paper menorahs in every window. Every one! It was a clear and intentional sign of love, support, and defiance that has stayed with me all these years.
