I did an interview on the Spoony podcast - Spoony is an app for disabled friendships. I’m an ambassador for @spoony.app.

I did this interview when I was doing cancer treatment, and I talked about ichthyosis too.

Enjoy.

I wanted to experience menopause in my own time, but I was thrust into it. Though I’m sure the hot flushes would have been as meh at 50 as they are at 43.

I think now I’m reemerging into the world, I’m getting used to it all. It was too much to get used to after surgery and during treatment.

The only increase in employment of disabled people in decades happened between 2018 and 2022, when WFH became much more widely available. With more frequent data, the US recorded the same trend. This will mean lots of disabled people cannot work.
