Just got to this point in the game last night and had to sit through all rituals despite being 4AM.

No idea what’s happening in this game, but fully hooked.

I can tell you from experience it’s a pain in the ass to have ambient NPCs in the world, having them behave realistically on their own, and react appropriately to events caused by the game’s systems and the player’s breath of actions while minimizing their looking silly and breaking immersion.

It’s known design limitations create boundaries where designers can generate ideas. A famous example is the first Metal Gear on MSX, where it turned into a stealth game in part due to hardware limitations.

Curious if the ideas for Death Stranding came in part because of development limitations.

In Death Stranding, there is a narrative reason why the player never meets friendly NPCs in-game, but only through terminals where NPCs are static and cannot be “messed with.” There is likely a development choice to avoid coding AI for ambient NPCs. #gamedev #videogames

“Supports Trump” is a stretch.

She will support whomever the US president is, because she wants an ally in the United States. Her goal is to free the people of Venezuela from Maduro’s dictatorship.

Unfortunately Trump likes flattery, so she’ll give him that.
