Here's the photo of mine (taken in Sark's Jewel Cave) that was on display at last year's Bailiwick of Guernsey Wildlife Photography Exhibition. I think it's kinda funny that the photo that was selected was taken not with my antiquated Nikon D500 but my even-more-antiquated 2016 iPhone SE 🇬🇬 🇨🇶 📸

A Grey Heron that was initially banded at a @marillion.com Weekend in Utrecht has been recaptured at an H Natural show in East Sussex. This is perhaps the first evidence of Steve Hogarth groupie behaviour among Ardea cinerea.

When people ask if I would like to live permanently on a #carfree island, I usually ask them whether bears shit in the woods. (Car-free islands typically have only small wooded areas, so it might be unpleasant if bears often shit in them.)

I don't know what Schier was like in the 70s, but I certainly find it beautiful and peaceful here in 2020s!
A great concern at the moment, though, is the plan to dig a route for a power cable (for an offshore wind farm) through the wild east end of the island 😡
