I bought a thing from a thrift store but broke it and now I'm trying to do right by it, like

cpp of my current project to save a thing from the garbage: it's an older embossed wooden frame, painted gold, with the glass pane glued back together in three simple pieces. The glue that I used, B-7000 with a precision metal tip, is pictured in the background. I discarded the printed picture in this frame bc I was going to reuse it for a nice print but then I accidentally knocked it over and the glass broke very cleanly into 3 pieces so I'm gonna take advantage of my clumsiness to make, like, an art

A very red themed thrift store haul: two remnants of printed red & white fabric, a bag of small santa hats, some dusty navy blue corded tulle trim, a couple xmas ornaments of a turn of the 20th century book and an embossed metal plaque of Han, Leia, Luke, and Chewy, a box of very tiny xmas presents, a couple flute duet books, a couple monographs, and 7 very good rubber stamps

Decided to make some soup tonight and it started as the ceci neri & chard recipe from the 2025Q4 rancho gordo bean club, but i strayed. A lot.
Nice big pot of soup in a lovely green pumpkin Dutch oven made with black garbanzos, sweet potatoes, & curly leaf kale

Tuesday #thrifthaul was another good one, whew! I'm gonna paint the dinosaur coat rack and gift it to my sister and the makit bakits are for a 6yo but the Louis Armstrong and red suede pouch and friggin pagoda umbrella are all mine

Cpp of my kitchen at this moment: a nicely used, or seasoned, roasting sheet filled with onion wedges, canned whole tomatoes, some cloves of garlic, and a couple halved jalapeños from the freezer, plus smoked paprika, vinegar, & olive oil as it goes into the broiler for a decent char. It will be pureed and added to drained, par boiled collards and served with black eyed peas and cornbread
