Opinions are my own.
As for the Smugglers' representatives' dialogues, since they are surprisingly fully voiced, we decided to incentivize pirates to go check on each NPC by themselves (and you have no reason to, since they are seasonal deeds as well!)

We are currently unaware if these shiplogs devise any secret meaning, especially as it points out certain locations...

Time will tell if more Chronicles will show up in future updates or relate to the story at large.

Finally, the Chronicles of The Sapphire Steel revealed the ship used the Merchant Emissary Flag to cover their intentions and picked up their contraband on the Finest Trading Post 👀

In the Chronicles of The Wolf in Winter we can read how her captain passed through a storm by sailing next to islands and camouflaged their ship around a bunch of shipwrecks.

The Chronicles of The Shadow Current informs us how its careless crew amidst enjoying too much of their rum, forgot to extinguish their lights, leading them to be tracked by others.

What fate befell upon them?

The Smugglers' League have made an explosive arrival, and with them a new unique style of storytelling.

Join us as we dwell on the 8 Chronicles scattered throughout caches and shipwrecks. Journals that double down as loot items (Perfect to read on the go!)

An exciting addition to the "University's Library" has arrived today.

Feel like I have been waiting years for this one. Congrats on the team

Now this is what I'm talking about. Lore for the win!

And thank you for the shout out. Can't wait to see what is coming for us in terms of storytelling.

As a side note, we found every outpost rune, but we obviously didn't post every single one or we would be here all day.

I have a theory that "Death to _____" may end with Flesh. I coin this theory!

In his speech, he gloats about the promising results of their assaults at the Ancient Temples, where they have amassed the important memories of the past.

He declared that his new elite crew will bring forth his victory in this War of Flame.

Yet, a king sits waiting for now.

Meanwhile, as our Head of Forensics has gone to meet with Captain Flameheart, to teach him about the importance of respecting private property (apparently he was not liking the lecture), he has decided to finally share his future plans if you ask what's coming next to the seas.

Olga shares her fear for such a personal and close attack at the heart of Port Merrick and she must converse with Madame Olivia about it.

Do be aware all previous runes we have shown are all translated in the ALT TEXT.

If we ask Madame Olga what has transpired here, she confirms it was the work of the nefarious new order.

This order is more than willing to see Flameheart's conquering dream come true. You can read her dialogue in this tweet and the next. ⬇️

However, the attack wasn't isolated on the outside of buildings.

After yesterday's tease video by
@seaofthieves.com, it seems the Order of Bone and Blade have grown tired of the Order of Souls attempts to uncover Flameheart's plan and have flipped over their Port Merrick's location.

A lot of these runes are symbols known by the community for years, while others are yet to be deciphered. Although an act of ill-intent, the Reaper's may have given us keys to uncover more Skeleton Runes meanings, like this one.

Show us all the places you have encountered these.

THE REAPER'S HAVE TAKEN OVER! Today our researchers woke up to one new "crime" to add to Flameheart's followers - Vandalism.

Throughout all different outposts, Skeleton Runes have been inscribed with what we hope is only ink! Here are some examples.

As already said in the latest Sea of Thieves Podcast episode, the dark deck is now fully displayed and reads "Order (of) Bone (and) Blade".

But what is so important about this order in a sea full of chaos? What is their connection with the Reapers

Better late than never. We have sent our student @barbossa5038.bsky.social to Port Merrick, to follow up on the rumours of our first flipped card.

More exciting, it has revealed the meaning of an old unknown rune featured in the Reaper's Bones - it's "Order".

Nevermind, it's because stuff like this I miss the rarestore. Why does everything have to ship from the US now 😭
