While I’m a Carney fan, the $400 tax cut is an insult. Seniors literally cannot afford to eat. Raising benefits would lift many seniors out of poverty, see them be warm in winter & cool in summer & have full bellies year round. They would stimulate the economy by spending all of that increase.
