I remember when stuff like this happened in 2020. I hate that it's happening all over again.

"The Hundred Acre Wood Commune"
"Nancy Drew and the Theft of the Commons"
"Betty Boop Versus the Klan"

I could go on and on really

I think we could all stand to have some good news.

Yeah. Kinda makes me think Warhol was on to something, with his ideas about the mass production of art.

Hank is a real BAMF of the local scene. He deserves this!

Seattle's acoustic punk band Sister Wife Sex Strike has great political songs. For a true-hearted pinko country crooner, Nick Shoulders from Arkansas. Bob Vylan in the UK do some great hip-hop/punk and have continually spoken up for Palestine. Good shit is out there.

They paved paradise! They put up a parking lot!

I would much rather hear someone describe their favorite Digimon fanfic

I tend to read a lot of Discworld books to my wife before bed, so there are lots of Pits of Despair, but they are almost always escapable.
January 14, 2026 at 6:27 PM
Every time I open up a book after watching The Princess Bride: "Okay, now, where were we... Oh yes, The Pit of Despair."
January 14, 2026 at 6:14 PM
This is what I'm doing. I'm trying to stand by a policy of biking everywhere I don't need to haul more than two bags of groceries or I don't need to transport anyone.

ICE must be abolished and its members put on trial for their crimes.

I used to be a Chicago pizza skeptic until I had a vegan pizza from Breezytown (RIP). It was devastatingly good and became our favorite pie in the whole city.

Couth Buzzard is legit, much respect
January 8, 2026 at 9:27 PM
DJT's first campaign speech was fascist and racist as hell. Obama's administration massively improved ICE's deportation capacity, and pioneered legal defenses protecting their right to execute US citizens without trial. This road that leads to our current hell has been paved by many hands.

I have to agree and disagree at the same time. COVID has definitely fucked a lot of people up and continues to do so, but we were absolutely on a fascist trajectory ten years ago.
