I think they actually believed they were using the ENT finale to "close out 18 years of continuous 'Trek" in a meaningful way. The episode just failed to live up to the hype of both a series and franchise finale.

Once I learned it the ? was Staryu I figured it was likely nighttime spawns. Didn’t occur to me there’d be different day/night spawns initially due to Z-A Royale also being a nighttime feature, so thought I was seeking a rare spawn instead.

Not just actors. Those 26-episode seasons of the TNG era also burnt out the writers.
And instead of giving the writers a break between the shows, they did TNG->VOY->ENT back to back for 18 years of constant 'Trek, with an overlap of DS9 for the latter seasons of TNG and most of VOY's run.

I had a busy day yesterday and wasn't able to comment upon the latest developments. The DilEx backlog spiked another 500k between Thursday and Friday mornings, from 14,901,465 to 15,484,868. We added another ~200k since then, and we're now over 15,680,000.
These are my first observations over 15M

I had a busy day yesterday and wasn't able to comment upon the latest developments. The DilEx backlog spiked another 500k between Thursday and Friday mornings, from 14,901,465 to 15,484,868. We added another ~200k since then, and we're now over 15,680,000.

What’s disappointing is that Prodigy would make the perfect bridge from Scouts to “adult” Trek series, and as far as we know it disappears into limbo once Netflix stops offering S3 later this year.

It was a long shot, but we expected that’d likely be the case. Thanks anyway, and we’ll continue hoping he’s able to log in again soon.

I don't know, at this point maybe the fandom deserves to have their beloved franchise die out with them and be forgotten. That's all the gatekeeping would really accomplish.
