I know it's anecdotal, but mine own eyes tell me that America's so-called "anti-immigrant hysteria" is a potemkin moral panic, pushed by the people who own media companies, to attempt to distract and divide the American working class.

The people there are supportive of people there, and they share anger over the perception of being constantly grifted by billionaires and corporations...

What's odd to me is, when I hang out in dive bars and honky tonks in southern Appalachia, I've literally witnessed old white men in Confederate flag jackets talking to Black truck drivers, all toasting Hispanic roofers singing Mexican karaoke.

But there are no billionaires in these bars...

Trump's econ team's mismanagement of tariffs + T's attacks on JPow destroyed foreign investor confidence that US a safe/stable investment. Theyre reallocating out of US stocks & bonds into gold, Swis francs, Yen, Euros. If JPow raises rates as he should, gold moderates. If not or T fires, 1929 redux
