Nightmare Alley confounds me. It’s a prurient, nasty ugly story that somehow is completely confounded by del Toro. Lifeless is a good way to put it. Every plot beat is there but none of it hurts like it should.

He did. That’s all was thinking as the second half of the movie played out. He’s made a version of Frankenstein so many times now, but adored the “misunderstood monster” so much he fumbled the actual story when got to actually make it and lost all of the strength of the story.

What? No, dude, it was about running out the clock and forcing TB to use up their TOs. Going down at the 1 there was arguably the right call. Though I prefer the points.

They had to be in bad debt. That wasn’t for them but for other bets.
