In 1910, the Rockport Granite Company completed one of its most high-profile projects: a pair of monumental fountains to be installed outside Union Station in Washington, D.C. They were designed according to this 1:12-scale wooden maquette. Learn more at bit.ly/4mCYGBp.

#HappyBirthday to artist Marsden Hartley (1877-1943)! Hartley visited Cape Ann 3 times between 1920 &1934. Restless by nature, he shied away from the waterfront favored by other artists & gravitated towards the rocky abandoned settlement known as Dogtown. bit.ly/mhartley
