I have never seen a Canadian Eskimo Dog before as there is only 300 known purebreds known to exist. The use of the snowmobile nearly spelled the doom of the Canadian Eskimo Dog when it replaced the dog sled. Stamp issued on August 26, 1988 by Canada Post.

I just picked up a 2020 Nissan Leaf a week ago which replaced my 2008 Prius. Agree with the article that used prices of EV's are now lower than gas cars and hybrids. Been following prices for sometime.

Thank you for sharing this, Mark. This is amazing. I take it already as a supplement not knowing it is found in the forest. The bottle didn't show up very well in my photo beside the computer screen.

It's been such a hot, dry summer there was so little in the way of mushrooms. I was so delighted after a good rain a couple of weeks ago to come across this wonderful mushroom or fungus of some sort. No idea what is is.

One of the plants is my naturally rewilded area in the back of my lot is goldenrod. It flowers when most other flower varieties are finished flowering for the year. So many types of insects use it for a food source. #goldenrod #insects #photography #naturalgarden

I'm more of a native plant person. But we planted some Rose of Sharon (which is not native) a few years back. It comes from India where my wife was born & lived until she was 9. It needs protection to avoid winterkill. This hot summer it thrived & its nectar attracted loads of bees & hummingbirds.

I have had one come by several times this past summer. In my 67 years had never seen one before. For the longest time I didn't even know what it was. So amazing. 😀

Our world needs humble leaders. Leader humility is a tendency to feel & display a deep regard for the dignity of others. It's recognizing that everyone needs a sense of self worth.
Back at my school crosswalk duties in 2 weeks. Praying my minute or 2 with the children daily will make a difference.

These little dragonfly type insects were in abundance at Tiny Marsh. They were so fast, I could not get a photo with my old 17 year old camera. Every photo was blurry. My hiking friend was able to get this with her much better camera.

1/2 Pastor Don was my mentor who encouraged me to go to Bible School & gave me lots of opportunities to preach in his church.
If you sense a true call on a young man’s life in your church to pastoral ministry, let him preach. Provide several opportunities. Give feedback.

For #WaterWednesday this is a photo taken a couple weeks ago of a Trumpeter Swan at Tiny Marsh in Tiny Township, Simcoe County, Canada. Migratory in this region they were almost wiped out by hunters by the late 1800's whose feathers used to adorn hats and used as writing quills. More details in 🧵.

Wonderful to have a Black Swallowtail drop by my pollinator garden. Taken with my 17 year old Fuji Finepix point and shoot camera on the macro setting. 📸📸🌼 #Macro #ThisPhotoHour #Nature #NatureHour #InMyGarden #Fuji #butterflies #wildencounter #photohour

My city of Barrie, Ontario has its 1st electric bus. Working out well. Hopefully as diesel buses retire from the fleet they will continue to be replaced with electric. 🚌

Nice hiking with a friend who has a really good camera. A Sony, but not sure of the model. Taken at Tiny Marsh, which btw is not tiny. It is in Tiny Township, Simcoe County. Lots of monarch butterflies, which was wonderful to see. #TinyTownship #Nature #monarchButterfly #TinyMarsh #photography🦋😀

Along the often overgrown trails I run, I rarely come across another human. Great to meet up with my old running friend Martin out in the back 40. And wonderful seeing lots of the Brown-eyed Susans (Rudbeckia Triloba) growing in the wild. 🏃‍♂️🌼

Pollinators are declining not because we hate them. But because we love tidy lawns, bright lights and quick fixes. Lets' love pollinators enough to give them a fighting chance. #PollinatorWeek 🦋🐝🐞🪰🦇

I think that economic growth gets in the way of mitigating climate change in our democratic world. People generally want a healthier mutual fund return than a livable planet for future generations. We are stealing resources from future generations, and getting ourselves deeper into ecological debt.

An illustration from last Sunday's sermon on Psalm 148. If the sun were hollow, it could contain one million, three hundred thousand earths. At 93 million miles from earth, the sun is at the perfect distance for life as we know it on earth.
