I wouldn't mind the sort of shift you're describing at all. I remember your 6th Gen consoles video very fondly, and that's on the shorter side for a TGC video.
But if you *do* ever feel like you're in a position where you have to put the channel on the backburner, that's completely understandable.

You've done a few re-critiques for games that your opinion on has changed since you did a video on them. I'm pretty sure that in every instance, your opinion of the game has improved. But are there any games that you critiqued that you currently like less than when you made the original video?

While I agree with you that it's Hydro City, English and Katakana pronunciation is not that 1 to 1, and often takes the spelling of the word into account.
The English word "velocity" pronounced in Japanese wouldn't use "ra," it uses "ro." If it was "hydrocity," then it would be written the same way.

Does anybody actually have a game series they "hate?" Maybe I might have a few I don't care for, but I don't know how I'd find a game I love given I don't tend to play game series I don't like.

Ideally, I want to try new experiences and become more well-read. But then when I sit down to play a game, I'm tired and just want to play something my hands are familiar with so I don't have to think. These two mindsets are incompatible, and I hope to break free from this slump sometime.

I feel the exact same way, and then I go back and replay a game I've already beaten.

I think also just because people were getting really tired of Superhero movies at the time + featuring a character nobodies knew about led to a movie that literally no one asked for. It was really emblematic of all of the problems with superhero movies at the time, which is why I think it got memed.

Oh, didn't realize you were American too. That's pretty unfortunate for a collector. I thought maybe they would've taken longer to start enforcing that stuff. 15% isn't a ton in the grand scheme of things, but on top of all the other costs, it hurts.
