One of the most revealing things in the piece is how trusted the BBC is across the political spectrum. Half of right-leaning Brits say they trust it. By comparison, only 26% of right-leaning Brits say they trust The Sun

The editing seems sloppy, but the reaction is disproportional. It looks like that people who always wanted to erode the BBC’s importance are betting on this case to do so. I wonder which interests would motivate attacking a highly trusted and independent news source...
