I read this story in 2019 and said. Over Only Fools & Horses, The Goodies, Pigeon Street, Grange Hill, Swap Shop, The Two Ronnies, Match Of The Day, Doctor Who? Yes I said Pigeon Street! Was sent this on Instagram and I now want to see this version of An Inspector Calls with René from 'Allo, 'Allo! The only thing that would make this better is if the inspector calling was Crabtree the policeman! 😂

That Friday night comedy zone on BBC2 at the time was:

Not the Nine O'Clock News compilations / special Day Today bits as a five-minute filler / Coogan's Run / Have I Got News for You.

And there was Frasier and Clive Anderson Talks Back on Channel 4 as well.
Just rewatched "Get Calf" which was thirty years old this week. Still a fantastic half hour I can quote endlessly and only slightly less good than the video diaries which I find close to perfect. Now to weep for my youth...

When Frank Muir died some of the obits were obnoxious about him for no clear reason. The Frank Muir Book is lovely and he clearly spent a lot of time in the London Library putting it together.
