It works SO WELL as an allegory for any (and every) kind of conformism. Capitalism, communism, heterosexuality, neurotypicality, happiness, sadness, AI, etc. We all want to be individual, even if it means being alone. And yet we are also expected to conform, even if it costs us our individuality.

Just finished this. HOLY S***. THIS is Doctor Who at it's ABSOLUTE best and boldest. The realm of Morning is one of the most exciting additions to Who lore in YEARS. Such incredible and ingenious worldbuilding. And those final ten minutes! Cannot WAIT for Part 2! Thank you SO MUCH for this.
