First Bluesky post!

Howdy everyone, my name is Cameron, I’m an NWS meteorologist, photographer (mostly landscape), and storm chaser. The attached images sum me up a bit😂

I hope to be a little more active here vs other sites. Intrigued to test out the waters here!

🧵SPC will be introducing new information in Convective Outlooks starting in early March. The following thread will offer some basic information regarding these changes. The TL;DR: outlook categories are not changing! But there will be more info for peak hazard intensity.

Mmm spinnies when?! Spring is a month away! Ready to be under the meso or warning on these beast!
The deadly Cole, OK EF3 tornado from 04-19-2023. I couldn't believe the clear slot wrapped around this thing. This was a long day for central Oklahoma, and one in which I saw eight tornadoes! #Photography

Sunrise at Lake Pueblo State Park a couple of days ago. It was windier than I was expecting, so that was a challenge. However, it did make for some interesting photos with slower shutter speeds, showing the chaos of the water, but not completely “freezing” the waves. #landscapephotography #sunrise

Another morning at the lake today. ‘‘Twas a bit windy this morning though as gap flow winds were howling, making photography a bit difficult. Put lots of motion into the water though, so will be interesting to see how that turns out!

So glad this is still going on! Love putting it up on one our tvs in the office and just watching it through the night shift 🌋

Warm and soft hues at Lake Pueblo State Park this morning during sunrise. Clouds to the east were reflecting the warm light across the scene. #photography

This is what I’m thankful for. Being out enjoying nature while capturing beautiful moments with my photography. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Cold, but gorgeous, morning for the start of Thanksgiving day at Lake Pueblo State Park. Long exposures and steam fog made for some more ethereal feeling images. Excited to do some editing and share later! #photography

Ahh some good moisture for parts of southern Colorado🌧️🌨️The radar is a bit “hot” from bright banding, but the moisture is still coming down! First image is 00z NAM model data from yesterday evening, second is mesoanalysis, and third is radar imagery. All at 11/24 00z (5 PM MST 11/23). #cowx

A cropped in image of Comet Lemmon (C/2025 A6) from my original wider shot on the evening of its closet approach to Earth. Still blown away at the amount of stars I saw that night… I think the most I’ve ever seen so far. #comet #astrophotography #photography

The stary night over Lathrop State Park with a special appearance from Comet Lemmon (C/2025 A6)☄️ My first ever attempt at any astrophotography. The image isn’t spectacular but I’m so happy to have gone out and even try something beyond my norm! What a super fun experience! #photography #comet

Well tried something very new tonight with my photography….Made my first ever attempt at some astrophotography, with the hopes of getting Comet Lemmon (C/2025 A6) in the shot. The little green comet is in some shots for sure! ☄️

Very different, but fun, photography experience for sure! #photography

Thought I’d introduce Bsky to my newest bestie, Bernice! 🐮🌀

We met Bernice near Crawford, NE in mid August. Her friends had all peaced out but her curiosity won & she stayed to watch me fly (er, flail) out of the car & set up my shot. It’s probably one of my favorite shots to date.

It’s October and we gotta be concerned with severe weather in *checks notes* the San Juan Mountains… typically a late Summer time threat. The poor San Juans can’t catch a break lately (though that should come this weekend thankfully). #cowx

Jen with a banger here! Gotta love the vibrant orange over the fall colors. Gorgeous shot!
Forgot this platform existed bc the engagement on here is 🗑️ but I’m gonna post a few recent photos anyway & we’ll see how it goes.

Here’s a Colorado #fall shot from an iconic spot but IMO the clouds are what make it. 🍁⛅️

We got additional images from the Saguache County EM of the tree damage from the damage scar. Given that, we got to upgraded the Sawtooth Mountain tornado from an EFU to a low end EF1. #cowx

Sunset at Lake Pueblo State Park about a week ago. Sun peaked out between the clouds in such a way that it lit up the rocky shore in a warm glow. #photography #landscapephotography #sunset

After a bit of data analyzation, confirmed a mountain tornado that occurred earlier this month across Sawtooth Mountain. This tornado was at about 11,300ft and is only the third confirmed tornado in Saguache County since 1995! #cowx

Relaxing evening at Lake Pueblo State Park and just enjoying sunset along the rocky shoreline. Funnily enough my favorite image from this evening came before the sun even set below the horizon! Even saw some creepy crawly wildlife before heading out😅 #sunset #photography

Sunrise at Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park. While this morning didn’t go as planned, sitting along the water and enjoying the changing morning sky was nice too! #photography #mountains

Sunrise at lake McDonald in Glacier National Park this morning. Some modest lenticular clouds were in place, which added some additional interest to the scene. #sunrise #landscape #photogrpahy
