I’ve never been a big lover of standard poetry, but every now and then something will get my attention. That said, Shel Silverstein never let me down as a child. So much so that I bought a copy to give my son an introduction to poetry.

Occasionally, my husband will eat fried pickles at BWW or one that comes with a sandwich… but that’s it. That’s the extent of my family’s pickle consumption.

I don’t remember having a specific subject I obsessed over, but I know my favorite non-fiction book was A Child Called It by Dave Pelzer. It really opened my eyes and helped me understand that people around me may be experiencing an entirely different reality than I was.
