Oh yeah, forgot to share since I fell asleep right after, but we had the Arch-Tempered Uth Duna speedrun shaved down to 8.5 minutes last night with a couple of randos.

I must say, feels blessed to be in a spot in time where I'm actively swapping between no less than 4 different games, enjoying time with friends & strangers alike.

Broke into the 3 minute range, and I well and truly don't think I'll be able to top that without carting 5000 times. So many RNG things have to go exactly right, and for every good run there's 25+ failed runs. GG! #MonsterHunterWilds

So, I am faster with my HBG, but to be fair my Ice (Sleep) HBG has "perfect" rolls; my Water Bow is one roll off from "perfect."
Either way, Piping-Hot + Caprice (Hi) Meal builds are wild... IF you have the luck + skill to line it all up. And damn do you need a lot of luck... #MonsterHunterWilds

Shout-out to the literal 1st 4 man team I joined in a random lobby to try the Arch-Tempered Rey Dau challenge.
Saw that they were actually prepping for the attempt (read as: waiting) and had an open spot, so I joined, and that was that. A Rank achieved.

An update: Same fraudulent speedruns are still up, even after coming back today to best my own time with a 2'28"50.

Officially finished all 6 Chapters in #MonsterHunterWilds today, remembering that I never upgraded a piece of the armor I've been using since Low Rank.
Not sure if that says more about me, or more about the game itself, but either way I guess the grind starts now.

Anyway, yeah. If you don't have recent hardware, #MonsterHunterWilds IS somewhat playable. Just make sure you turn F̵a̵k̵e̵ 🚫 G̵h̵o̵s̵t̵i̵n̵g̵ 🚫 Frame Generation ✔️ OFF, and then begin tweaking settings to your needs.
Personally I find "Performance" mode acceptable, but even "Balanced" can yield this @ ~30 FPS.

After 4596 soft resets, #Shiny #Raikou has finally showed up, meaning both it & Shiny #Entei are running around in my copy of Crystal.
Considering Entei showed up in so few resets that I didn't bother counting them (less than 2 hours, tops), I'm happy to let them roam around uncaught for a while.

This morning while I had my tea, I powered on the ol' 3DS and checked my Gen 1 saves with Transporter & Bank. - Everything still works.
