Financial Times: “Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, recently pardoned by Trump, has been hit with a new US federal lawsuit alleging the crypto exchange facilitated millions of dollars in payments to Hamas since the Oct 7, 2023 attack. Families of Oct 7 victims allege Binance knowingly provided ‘substantial assistance’ to groups including Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, helping them move and conceal funds.” … “The suit claims more than $50 million in transactions linked to these groups were facilitated on Binance since Oct 7, and alleges wallets run by Binance sent over $300 million before Oct 7 and more than $115 million after the attack. Lawyers allege the transactions continued even after Binance paid a $4.3 billion settlement in 2023 over US anti–money laundering and sanctions violations. Zhao was sentenced to 4 months in prison for failing to protect against money-laundering and was pardoned by Trump in Oct.”

Dr Zoffman told me she’s absolutely convinced that it’s Frontotemporal dementia that he has because of that telltale right leg swing.” … I was the first person who posted on social media about Trump’s leg drag. I posted at least a dozen videos of it during the last two years. US media never wrote about it. They did write several stories about Biden’s walk, though. At least foreign press is willing to do stories about it now and then.

The American official and Ukraine’s national security adviser Rustem Umerov said a common understanding on a proposal had been reached, with details still to be worked out.” Official: “The Ukrainians have agreed to the peace deal. There are some minor details to be sorted out but they have agreed to a peace deal.” … WSJ chief foreign policy editor Yaroslav Trofimov: “Minor, as in major.” … Naturally, before those details were worked out and before Russia agreed to anything, Trump was hyping it on Truth Social again: “There are only a few remaining points of disagreement. I have directed my special envoy Steve Witkoff to meet with Putin in Moscow and Dan Driscoll will be meeting with the Ukrainians. I look forward to meeting with Putin and Zelensky but ONLY when the deal is FINAL, or in final stages.” … Bloomberg then published a newly released transcript of Witkoff’s call to Putin’s senior foreign policy advisor where he was coaching him on how they can persuade Trump to go along with their proposal: “Congratulate the president for this achievement … say that you respect that he’s a man of peace … Just say that. That would make it a great call.” More from treasonous Witkoff: “Maybe just say this to President Putin, because you know I have the deepest respect for President Putin …” And then he goes on to give advice on what the Russians should say to Trump to get him on their side. … The entire world can clearly see that Putin owns Steve Witkoff and yet Witkoff is the one that Trump wants leading the negotiations on a peace deal. If Putin owns Witkoff, and Trump doesn’t care, that means Putin owns Trump - either directly, by proxy, or by stupidity. … You have to ask, why was Witkoff chosen for this critically important role of special envoy to Putin? He had no diplomatic or foreign policy experience. No experience in government or as an elected official. No education on those subjects. So of all people, why him? I think what we all surmised many months ago is now very clear - Putin wanted Witkoff. … CBS: “Speaking earlier on Tuesday, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters that while Russia ‘appreciates the US position, which is taking the initiative in resolving the Ukrainian conflict,’ Moscow ‘operates professionally, not leaking info before formal agreements are reached. Russia expects the US to inform it of the results of consultations with Ukraine and Europe in the near future.” Ukrainian journalist Illia Ponomarenko: “So, Ukraine will once again sign yet another brilliant ‘peace plan,’ just to avoid irritating Trump and keep him from getting an excuse to betray it. And Russia will once again reject it, and it will carry on destroying Ukraine and dragging out sanctions and buying time. And the war will go on, and soon after yet another phone call from Putin to Trump - with promised profits and sugary compliments - a new deranged surrender plan will pop up, and Kyiv and all of Europe will once again have to soften it in a rush.” … “This boundless obsession of Trump’s with empty grandstanding in front of TV cameras, his refusal to read even the bare minimum of what’s put in front of him, and his bottomless ego will lead the world into disaster.”

That date passed without an update, and when NBC followed up with the call center, an operator said the delivery would now be in the ‘beginning of Dec,’ with no specific date.” … “In late June, the same month the phone was announced, the website removed any mention of ‘Made in the USA,’ as was originally promised. Instead, the website now says the phone is ‘brought to life right here in the USA.’”

WaPo: “Soaring electricity prices are triggering a wave of power shutoffs nationwide, leaving more Americans in the dark as unpaid bills pile up. Although there is no national count of electricity shutoffs, data from select utilities in 11 states show that disconnections have risen in at least 8 of them since last year. In some areas, such as NYC, the surge has been dramatic - with residential shutoffs in Aug up fivefold from a year ago.” … In PA, power shutoffs have risen 21% this year, with more than 270,000 households losing electricity. The avg electricity bill in the state has risen 13% from a year ago, as utilities upgrade electric grids to accommodate a burst of new data centers. Overall, Americans are paying 11% more for electricity than they were in Jan. Utility prices have risen roughly 3x faster than overall inflation this year, at a precarious time for the economy. Businesses are announcing mass layoffs, and it’s taking unemployed Americans much longer to find new work. There are also signs that lower- and middle-class families are pulling back on spending.” … Energy economist Mark Wolfe: “With prices going up so rapidly, electricity is becoming unaffordable in many parts of the country. And it isn’t just lower-income households anymore; it’s spilling into the middle class.” A majority of Americans - 6 in 10 - say they are spending more on utilities than they were a year ago, and they blame Trump for the rising prices, according to a Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll conducted in late October.” … Energy Sec Chris Wright was asked about it on Fox: Q - “You can see energy going up, electricity going up, gas going a little bit down, but gas service up. And if you look at the average gas price, these are two different things to look at, but, steady from one year ago, it’s about roughly the same. Wright: I think you will soon see a stop in the rise of electricity prices, we’re going to achieve that, I think, hopefully in the first half of 2026. The stop of the rises.” … Good times are always just around the corner when these guys are asked about every single problem. Lots of promises and hopium. Everything will be great in two weeks!

DOGE May Be Dead, but Its Crimes Live On

For an agency that never existed, DOGE did an impressive amount of damage. It shut down the U.S. Agency for International Development, eliminating or placing on administrative leave about 10,000 people. The consequence, according to the Boston University epidemiologist Brooke Nichols, was the death of about 640,000 people, of whom about 430,000 were children. Here’s an efficiency statistic you won’t find on DOGE’s website: For every USAID worker fired, DOGE killed about 64 people. DOGE also effectively shut down the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, or CFPB, an obvious nuisance to an administration run by oligarchs, laying off most of its 1,700-person staff. Much of the heavy lifting here was done by Vought. President Donald Trump fired CFPB’s director, Rohit Chopra, and named Vought acting director. Now Vought is trying to shut off CFPB’s funding, using the argument that the Federal Reserve, which finances CFPB, cannot fund it because it’s operating at a loss. Never mind that the Fed is having no difficulties exercising its other duties. As a result of DOGE’s and Vought’s effective shutdown of CFPB, Forbes’s Jeff Kauflin reported earlier this month, financial service companies are cutting budgets for consumer compliance, people with student loans are at greater risk that their payments won’t be recorded accurately, and the issuing of medical and retail credit cards that charge no interest up front—and heavy interest later—is on the rise. Raise your hand if you trust financial services companies not to screw consumers without regulatory oversight.

DOGE’s legacy is both very stupid and very sad: It decimated the federal workforce, including Social Security personnel at local offices, and made it easier for hackers to access your data. The agency tore apart USAID, which resulted in hundreds of thousands of lives lost globally. And all this for projected savings—numbers that grew smaller and less ambitious every time Musk mentioned them. While DOGE may fade away into a fever dream of Trump’s first 100 days, its effects—and the suffering it inflicted—will be felt for a long time.

Trump posted about tariffs: “The full benefit of the Tariffs has not yet been calculated in that many of the buyers of goods and products, in order to avoid paying the Tariffs in the short term, ‘STOCK UP’ by purchasing far more inventory than they can use in order to avoid Tariff payments in the short term. That heavy inventory purchase is now, however, wearing thin, and soon Tariffs will be paid on everything they apply to, without avoidance, and the amounts payable to the USA will SKYROCKET, over and above the already historic levels of dollars received. These payments will be RECORD SETTING, and put our Nation on a new and unprecedented course.” … In other words, the impact of his tariffs on consumers and US businesses is about to get a lot worse. Many economists have noted what Trump posted here - that the full effect of his tariffs has not been felt yet by Americans because most businesses had some advance warning to build up their inventories. That enabled them to avoid passing tariffs on to many customers for a while. But that time is about to end. Bigly.

The president took an aerial tour of the Courses at Andrews aboard Marine One on Sat, and promised, ‘We’re going to do some work’ there, as well as to other parts of the base.” … Trump: “We’re doing some fix-up of the base, which it needs. We’re gonna try and reinstitute the golf courses. I’m meeting with the greatest Jack Nicklaus. He’s involved in trying to bring their recreational facility back. So we’ll fix that up, and Jack will be the architect and he’ll design it.” … “The facilities include three 18-hole golf courses, 3 practice putting greens, 2 private practice areas and a driving range. Trump’s comments immediately raised questions about who is paying Nicklaus, and how much such design services might cost. Also, given that Andrews is military property, who pays for improvements to its golf courses or other parts of its grounds was also unclear.”

They have been with him since he came down the escalator. So yes, we are looking at the aid right now. We have always said it is to solve, to mitigate anything under these new trade negotiations. Every day that changes.” … Q - “Do you see the admin getting down to 2% with inflation? Rollins: The structure of what’s happening is incredibly positive. We’re already down to 2.9%. We can’t afford to go backwards.” … The Trump admin then announced this in the afternoon: “US 3Q GDP ADVANCED ESTIMATE REPORT CANCELED.” … Probably just a coincidence. … Bucco Capital: “David Sacks is saying the quiet part out loud. This admin has made some catastrophically bad economic decisions. He is right. They are backed into a corner and cannot afford to go backwards on AI, which is the only thing propping up our economy right now.” … The Trump economy is being propped up by a giant speculative bubble of AI and crypto, with a small group of people getting insanely wealthy and everyone else getting screwed while the Mad King tells us everything is great and everyone is thriving.
