ig u could go further about consumerism as a whole in that even physical products aren't built to last so you'll buy replacements, physical tech products requiring a separate app and suddenly you have a whole folder for home appliance bloatware, OpenAI is kind of epitome "incomplete end product"

i can't say it's true or that i'm an expert rly but i personally think this comes from the iterative publishing process software companies have put out over the past decade, like the whole "we can patch that later" or even the subscription based model with updates are what led us here.

you have people relying on it who aren't giving it new or better information or people who know they write/think better than the product and don't use it at all.
