i have to admit, i'm beginning to get more and more comfortable in lighting reclined/laying/horizontal poses. it's a tricky balance to make sure everything is lit like i want without blowing out the ground surface and ruining the 'shadow fad into black' effect.

it's funny there's a crop in this picture, because i originally had two different crops of this shot, one horizontal that gave prominence to the prop and the story, and a vertical that gave a bit more attention to the figure and lighting. in the end i decided to just merge then, my normal aspect ratio be damned! xD

i've decided to try adding in a discrete watermark on my posts... a friend mentioned that they found out some of their posts are ending up on NSFW discord servers, uncredited. it's not really about clicks or anything like that, but i spend time on these images, and i'm pretty proud of them, so if they end up off of bsky, i think it's only fair that there's at least a little something that says "hey, i made this." so if you notice the new watermark... that's why.
