I'll miss Strahm and this strikes me more about salary than performance. (I think the point about Strahm's stuff is a valid one.) The sample size is small but it looks as if this guy sits at 96 and misses bats. Thought they'd package Bohm and Strahm to get one of the Royals catching prospects.

I’m no expert, but it seems with the proliferation of ads during broadcasts, I think it’s important to emphasize that the competition on the field or court — the game they can play — is very different from the wagering, which is being advertised like other products.

And keep an eye on your nephew. Addiction knows no bounds, of age or anything else.

When sports gambling became omnipresent, I feared it could become an Opiod Epidemic-level public health crisis. As easy as it was to get Oxy at the height of the epidemic, it's even easier for anyone to gamble; all you need is a phone.

I think "coup attempt by traitors" is appropriate.

Obviously, I'm on the "finds interesting" side. I was raised to be proud of our heritage. I listen to Garron's dialect and hear my father, who was two gens removed from Mayo.

I rely on Garron to set me straight on Irish culture; he has a vid of Top 5 Irish memes. He's why I stopped talking w/Irish people about my second great-grandfather's journey from Donegal to Philadelphia and my great-grandmother from Mayo. I know we can be tiresome.

Maybe something at the Winter Meetings moves it to the back burner. I think Matt's comment about it reflecting changing norms is spot-on. RFKjr's movement gives Bryce cover to go public. Also a boon for fans of baseball and cycling. No one who rides can figure out what he's hoping to achieve.

All-time Irish meme, from what I've been told.

I'm guessing that was part of how it was presented. Either that or the procedure would allow him to train harder for longer periods in the offseason. It might do that in the short term.

For anyone who ever raced or followed cycling, the whole blood removal thing is a big red flag.

Said the exact same thing last night in another forum. If there are any pix of him in an altitude tent, we'll know he's making the switch to cycling. If not, this makes no sense for a baseball player.

Plus, wasn't blood oxygenation what Keith Richards did after a long H bender? Strange days.

Missed you. Assuming the procedure went well. Good to have you back.

You, too, @phillytradesman.bsky.social. Don't know why the tag didn't work in previous post. (Boomer.)

When recovering, it's good to set modest goals. Hope you're feeling better soon.
