I don't remember what post(s) originally caught my eye, but the historically interesting stuff thread is pretty great.

Rabbits are apparently extremely parasite-y too. Cook thoroughly!

The main character in the Book I Will Finish Someday Dangit is (sometimes) a shapeshifter. They turn into something vaguely wolfy, and painted wolf is as close as real life critters get. So: Mascot!

Can't... quite... reach... mouse. Electric blanket gravity.

I've never heard of using pickles in soup at all. I like them, so hey, I'll try anything once. 😁

All of those look amazing (peanut stew, mmmm), but I am particularly intrigued by pickle soup. Gonna have to look that one up.

'Tis silly advice. All things in moderation.

I've been chewing on Cron's _Story Genius_ for a few weeks now and it got me a couple clicks forward, but "can reliably get from start to an ending" remains my Achilles heel. I'll read anything that touches on plot progression.

Well, then. *orders*

I have a few extra Humble Bundle keys for some games that might fit one or the other of your tastes, too. If you're interested I'll give you the list in chat.

Meteor 60 Seconds was weirdly good fun.

Samorost 1 - point and click exploration with a lovely aesthetic.

Hm. Hard to remember what I got for free. If not restricting to Steam, there's loads of stuff on Itch.io and Abandonia, and I play a whole stack of in-browser games, mostly puzzles.

100 Cats New York and the other "find the hidden cats" ones are always good for brief entertainment.

Doki Doki Literature Club (original) appears to still be free - that one's dark, though.

Life is Strange - Episode 1, good for a taste of that series. Didn't grab me but is definitely good.

Positively minuscule!

Lol, quite welcome. Morbid curiosity got me. I'm actually another couple chapters in and now it's flirting with incest, so, uh, yeah.

It is most definitely creeping me out. I think it's about to hit a time shift so the protagonist is actually adult, but... eh. Maybe I keep reading maybe I don't. Leaning toward don't.

Haven't seen those, but I could definitely see this one going that kind of direction, yeah. It'd probably have to, so far it's all drafty Italian mansions and operas. I feel like all the sex with underage boys might give it some problems, but I guess that's the writers' problem, innit?

Couple chapters in, and really ambivalent. Rice's writing always has that lush beauty, but I keep having wtf moments at the content. But I like historicals! But...! oh they're fucking again, okay.
