On the one hand: If you need a prop to contextualise your costume

On the other hand: what are costumes but props, decontextualised?

Has Berryman's selected 38-68 ever actually published with this cover? I once purchased it on the second hand market, but with the older cover (I thought it would arrive in this brand of Faber sauce).

Just as a Berryman/Faber weirdo - I want this specific edition. Any leads most welcome!

Made a meme based on the jacket copy of Mathias Enard’s Compass for one of the group chats. It’s so good, I’m sharing here too. You’re welcome. fitzcarraldoeditions.com/books/compass/

Perhaps some recency bias, but they’re three films that I feel very strongly about. In The Mood for Love, No Country for Old Men, Up, Wall-E, Almost Famous, and Inherent Vice could all be on here on a different day.

These are all personal favourites that I would watch at any time on any day.

Currently reading. Really enjoyed the first hundred pages (well maybe 80). But it kind of falls off a cliff after that. Really struggling to finish it. Abandoning it with 40 pages to go feels like a waste. But they’ll be the longest 40 pages of my life…
