I 💙 early #WomenInPhotography so many portraits of people with their #dogs. From the collection - Rita Martin (1875-1958), who started her 📸 career in 1897, working in studio of big sis Lallie Charles.

Altar Wedge Tomb on the Mizen Head Peninsula, County Cork, Ireland. Built around 2500BC, it was used as a Mass Rock during the Penal Laws in the 17/18th centuries. The entrance aligns with the distant Mizen Peak. #StandingStoneSunday

Drombeg (meaning ‘small ridge’) axial stone circle, and nearby ancient cooking place, in County Cork, Ireland. Excavations revealed the remains of an adolescent wrapped in cloth in a pot in the centre of the circle. #StandingStoneSunday
