UPDATE -
The school has drinkable water today, but it does not change the fact the HRCE seems to think each child at SJAM deserved 180ml of water or less yesterday.
There was no accounting for the after school program either. I have received no response from the school board regarding this.

I know. Some communication would have saved a lot of stress for staff... But there wasn't any

I will definitely contact the MLA thank you. In my anger slash upset I wasn't really sure what I should do but no I will definitely reach out to my MLA.
If there's no good resolve within a few days definitely the media. Thank you so much!

It isn't right at all. One of the staff is considering going out and buying as much water as she can afford... But she shouldn't have to do that. HRCE should be able to tell them exactly how much water they're getting and when.

And 72L for 400+ kids is not enough.

I just did the math and that's 180 ML of water per child.

The staff do not know when they're going to get more or when the water is going to be drinkable again.

All this to say, I don't think it's very fair that SJAM is essentially being othered or excluded. It doesn't feel right it feels incredibly unfair. I really feel for the staff who are dealing with this and I wish that I could do more than just reach out to the school board and post on social media.

4X 18L jugs of water.
I did reach out to hrce with my concerns, but they're not exactly great about getting back to us and in the past they just tell us to go to the school themselves. The school employees themselves are frazzled trying to manage the situation.

I'm extremely concerned that there's going to be children tomorrow who do not have access to drinkable water. I was told that this happened previously and both SJAM and the school across the street were provided with ample bottled water. Now that it is just SJAM, the solution was to give

A third bus! The number one stopped at the bus stop opened the stores for 10 seconds and then slam them as we were trying to get on and drove away.

Side note that all of this has happened over the last like 6 months and is not recent except for the buses today

I'm just a very frustrated (mostly) pedestrian.

On that note, I started a photography business, Little Light Photography. I'm offering accessible affordable photography services for those who feel like professional photographs are too expensive for them. I'm on Facebook and Instagram and I'm running Christmas minis in November for $50 a pop.

Life's already so hard for so many people. The struggle is so real. Why would you go out of your way to make someone else get their hopes up and then crush them?

My kid would get so excited over a potato.

I'm honestly so close to just carrying a brick with me when I'm out.

Don't even get me started on how I feel about drivers as a pedestrian (tbh also as a driver because what are y'all doin??). And the biker that clipped me when I was 7 months pregnant made me irrationall angry with bikers in general for like two months 🫠

I'd take the bus more, but it's a 10 min drive vs a 45 min bus ride to get to my daughters school, then an extremely high chance there's no room for us w/ baby in stroller, 5yo has to sit w/ stranger OR we are asked to hop off before we get close to home to make room for folks in wheelchairs.
