Having watched it all, yes - although from an audience perspective I found him less annoying than the podcast guy who clearly hadn’t read the book and called, I think, the stochastic parrots paper ‘a white paper’.

I just watched the whole thing on YouTube and thought you were both great. Interestingly, I didn’t find this guy as condescending as the podcast you did with the guy who clearly hadn’t read the book and didn’t know what a peer-reviewed paper was versus a white paper.

Shame that the Guardian decided to write about this one and not Ghost in the Machine. But I’m not surprised given that publications lack of any kind of curiosity or responsible writing in the ‘AI’ space.

a culture develops AI psychosis when it starts to believe that the AI can *describe the actual people* better than the people themselves. entering a hall of mirrors & treating it as windows.

Hey - cool postcard but that’s not in Scotland. Ironically, Kewstoke is in Somerset, where Martin Parr lived. He took one of his favourite images of a cup of tea less than a mile from this photo!

I find this with so many BBC headlines! I’m always reading them out loud and chuckling. 🤭
