It is very regrettable that Israeli authorities prevented them from seeing first-hand the challenges facing medical facilities in the region and hearing the British government’s assessment of the situation on the ground.

Palestinian communities continue to face unprecedented levels of violence from Israeli settlers and soldiers, trying to forcible dispossess and ethnically cleanse them. Places such as Umm al Khair know acutely and devastatingly the impact of policies of apartheid and military occupation.
