The radio station @wtjuradio.bsky.social plans to celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2027 and while this isn't a marathon guide or a show recording, it is ancient

Trekkies: If you see this post your first experience with Star Trek.

A classmate let me borrow The Making of Star Trek overnight, I tried to watch the rerun on WTTG that afternoon, but was thwarted by a sibling, then the next day <- was the "Errand of Mercy" episode. This -> arrives 52 years later.

If you see this, quote with a robot that isn't from "Star Wars," "Star Trek," "Dr. Who," or "Transformers."

Me, read a SF rom-com? A chapter into Full Speed to a Crash Landing by @bethrevis.bsky.social I cast scavenger Ada Lamarr—wisecracking goof hiding techical expertise and an energetic thirstiness—with Ruby Cruz from Bottoms and everything snapped into place. Spoilers, I bought the sequel yesterday.

If you see this and like Star Trek, drop an image from the first Star Trek episode you remember

I would later figure out the bits of the original series which didn't sustain my interest before I read The Making of Star Trek paperback were mostly from third season episodes like "The Cloud Minders"

I discover that the Wells Fargo at 4651 King Street closed last year, after completing a minifig-scale version in 2016 I asserted that the original was built in 1967. This construction follows the examples of the Pizza Hut by Ames and the Burger Delite on Edsall Road in surviving its prototype.

Is this a thing? Scotty actually says “Transporter room, do not engage, do not—” so this is a quick edit.

I let issues of The New Yorker interrupt my reading of The Divide but that’s not a criticism as I’m reading it again. The protagonist experiences economic marginalization and fragmented identity in LA and beyond and I have but one note on her travails: Jenny never says what her “old beater” is!

I'm not her target audience, but But How Are You, Really by @brosandprose.bsky.social had me gripped from the description of a dorm room at Hein University and never let go. That’s a “bi” pin on the jacket design by Vi-An Nguyen as Charlotte Thorne is back on campus attending her five-year reunion.
