This is so obvious when you put it like that but I'd never thought about it. I knew News was editorially independent but I'd never taken the further step in thought to recognise that that gives it a different political slant to the rest of the org.

Hi! Fine thanks. Can't remember how long it's been since we last spoke, but I'm now a registered nurse, extremely happily divorced and living with this tiny cat and his sister who is also a tiny cat. Stripelet is in high school! Lots going on. How are you?

Sorry I just really like paracetamol and get annoyed when people are in pain but say "I'm not taking that, it's just paracetamol"

It's also an adjuvant, so it works really well in combination with other painkillers esp. opioids - the combined analgesic effect is greater than you'd get from taking the two separately.

Paracetamol is amazing! The WHO specifies it as the first-line painkiller in practically all situations because it's cheap, effective, widely available and has relatively few/minor side effects. The evidence base for it is really strong.
