You can always extrapolate on the necroblade in your query/synopsis, but I personally think you should keep it a teensy bit simpler for the pitch event. That way on the day of agents won’t be asking themselves what a necroblade is and instead will hopefully go, “Oh, I wanna read that!” 2/2

Dakota here! LOVE the premise, but maybe some minor clarity like this?

“bloodthirsty and sentient dagger”

Then make it two separate sentences since you have the character amount to do so. “soul. But the General has need of an assassin, a role which the dagger she holds is happy to fulfill…” 1/2
