Spent the weekend perching on rocks trying not to fall into the lake with my fancy nerd outfit. #larp #conquestofvastarlands #oc #rpg

"To Vastarland I shall go. Perhaps this new land has the answers I seek."

Photo dump from this past weekend of my latest larp character - Ashe.

This is probably a more accurate pic of the shape n' drape.

Latest sewing project. A wrap skirt out of a thrifted bed sheet. Added a few inches to the side panels to minimize risk of flashing my neighbors. #sewsky #wrapskirt #sewing #diy

When life imitates art and then you make art from that life and then life art art art fart.

I spent last week in the woods helping kids do art and we dressed up like gnomes and fairies. It was perfect and magical and now I'm back in the real world. (Boo.)

My colored contacts came in which means it's makeup test time. Bird fey creature is coming to life. Playing pretend as an adult is pretty fun y'all.

Summary of my weekend in pictures. Bird house installed (though probably too late in the season for babies). Leather working project. And trying in vain to get a vintage buttonholer working. #sewsky #birds

Trying to decide where to put these pretty lil monsters. Canada anemone spread like crazy I guess. I wish to unleash them. #nativegardening

Sometimes cutting off annoying elastic pant legs and redoing the hem is worth a fit check.

More armor pics. Of course I had to immediately try it on. #larp #costume

AHHHHHH. I think buying armor fixed me. Latest addition to the kit is this chest piece from Epic Armory. #larp #rpg

Latest make! A kimono-style top for summer in fabric-store linen. French seams and all that. No modifications really other than adding some extra seam allowance for the fancy finish.

I plan to dye this down the road once I get some wear out of it in it's current state. Maybe embroidery too. #sewsky

A thrifted table cloth for 3$ (cloak) and my first real piece of armor for uh.... a bit more than that. 😅

More concept art for my Vastarlands LARP character. She has a name now. Ashryn, or Ashe. She's a fey that got kicked out of Mag-Mell and she doesn't know why. Fragmented memories sure are a bitch. 🍃

Cabin retreat weekend. I continue to disconnect more and more from social media and so far there are more pros than cons.

The white trillium I planted last year surprised me with blooms today. I got misty eyed when I spotted them. These babies take 5-7 years from seed to bloom. I got them potted up from a local native nursery at a discount because he couldn't guarantee they'd bloom any time soon. #nativegardening
