Before I set off for my next section yesterday, I re-visited a spot from the rainy day before where I was convinced I had a fleeting glimpse of one of the North East's rarer bumbles...

A few minutes into the search, I had a lovely encounter with a Moss Carder Bee on Kidney Vetch! Buzzing!! 🐝💛

Hi Terry & Judy, thank you so so much for your donation! 🐝 Luckily the showers held off until the afternoon on the first day! I don't want to speak too soon but I had sunshine yesterday!! A nice range of bumbles out and about - queens, workers & males! 😊
